Toyota South Africa has confirmed the recently launched (in India) Urban Cruiser Taisor will make its way to South Africa but under a different name that will be be revealed closer to the actual launch date.
Operating in subcompact SUV arean, the Taisor is another Toyota model derived from its partnership with Suzuki – in this case the donor vehicle being the Suzuki Fronx.
No TaIsor as yet but there is plenty on offer if you are thinking it's time to CHANGECARS
In terms of exterior design, the Urban Cruiser Taisor has a bold front facade with a honeycomb mesh grille in gloss black finish, complemented by twin LED DRLs and the Toyota emblem at the centre. The rear design includes revamped LED taillights connected by a light bar on the boot.
When it comes to interior features, only subtle changes from the Fronx are anticipated, primarily centered around updated upholstery. Enthusiasts can expect the continuation of amenities such as the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, driver display, 360-degree camera, and Head-Up Display (HUD) in the Taisor.
Powering the Toyota Taisor SUV will likely be the same 1,2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine found in the Suzuki Fronx.
Additional comforts include automatic climate control and seamless integration with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enhancing the driving experience with both convenience and connectivity.
