The Fiat Strada is hitting the streets of South Africa in November.

The Fiat Strada has been one of the best-selling compact pick-up trucks in Brazil. With sales amounting to 400,000 units sold since its latest generational release in 2020, it would inevitably have hit our streets at some point.

Built and developed at the Stellantis plant in Betim, Minas Gerais, Brazil; the Strada has 25 years of heritage and about 2.1 million units sold since its inception - it's plain to see why it's headed our way.

Based on the award-winning Fiat Toro, the Strada has been given a more modern and futuristic look. With LED headlights that are 20% brighter than that of its competitors and between 650kg to 720kg of cargo capacity. This isn't nearly as good as the best seller in South Africa, the Nissan NP200. The single cabin hosts a spacious 1 354 litres which is ample room for professional and personal uses.

All these niceties aside, the Strada also hosts other significant features like stability control, hill start assist, TC+ and cutting-edge air conditioning. This will ensure you get the most out of your journey regardless of where you're headed.

You'll be in good hands when it comes to safety too. With four airbags and an Isofix system for kids, it'll give you peace of mind knowing you and your family are in good hands.

According to Mr. Samir Cherfan, Chief Operating Officer Stellantis Middle East & Africa: "The introduction of the Fiat Strada in Sub-Saharan Africa marks a significant milestone for Stellantis. The FIAT STRADA is a flexible partner for individuals who welcome change and push their limits because it combines the practicality of a family vehicle with the dependability required in a business environment. With this new vehicle, we expand our range of mobility solutions into the emerging entry-level pick-up segment, catering to the needs of our Sub-Saharan African customers. This reaffirms our commitment to strengthening our leadership in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) market within the region."

With the compact Pickup segment now in tatters, this will be a great addition to that market.
