Nissan has adjusted the Magnite range with the introduction of a non-turbo auto with three grade offerings to make it the lowest priced two-pedal SUV in the market.

The new Nissan Magnite EZ-Shift comes with the 1,0-litre non-turbo engine and Automated Manual Transmission with almost similar features of the current Turbo engine grades (Visia, Acenta and Acenta Plus).

“We are excited to launch the new Magnite EZ-Shift, which builds on Nissan’s global SUV heritage and advanced technology, offering a feature-rich crossover experience that delivers on style and presence,” Stefan Haasbroek, Marketing Director at Nissan Africa said.

“The newer budget models each have a naturally aspirated engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The new 5-speed AMT will bridge the gap between the manual and continuously variable transmission (CVT) variants,” Haasbroek added.

Haasbroek noted: “The new Magnite EZ-Shift remains bold from every angle. Fit with a 2-tone exterior, chrome door handles for the Acenta grade, and LED lights for the Acenta Plus model which is a feature-rich premium offering with a dynamic road presence.”

It also features dual front crash bags with prices ranging from R243 900 for its entry model, the Magnite 1.0 Visia to R279 900 for the Magnite 1.0 Acenta Plus EZ-Shift.
