JAC Motors South Africa will now back its vehicles with a seven-year service plan, up from five years, without raising the price to buyers. The 100 000-kilometre ceiling stays as it was. Owners of new JAC models, along with existing customers whose plans remain valid, will be able to book manufacturer-scheduled services for two extra years. The same applies to people who buy a used JAC that still has a live plan.
Work carried out under the plan runs to 100 000 kilometres or seven years, depending on which comes first. It takes in routine servicing using genuine JAC parts and approved oils, replacement of air filters and spark plugs, scheduled labour, and inspections of fluids, belts, hoses and lights. JAC says this gives buyers a clearer picture of what their vehicle will cost to maintain.

Karl-Heinz Göbel, the company's chief executive in South Africa, said the decision came after listening to customers. He said the longer term suits drivers who cover fewer kilometres each year, because it allows them to reach every scheduled service, and that JAC was glad to pass the same benefit on to existing customers with valid plans.
JAC positions the move as a response to shifting mobility needs and as a boost to its standing in the local bakkie and commercial vehicle segment. Göbel said the extended cover gives owners more reassurance and value over time, and signals the company's confidence in the durability of its products.
