Suzuki’s entry into the electric vehicle market in the United Kingdom is taking a public turn as the company participates in the 2026 EV Rally with its e Vitara model – that was shown to onlookers at the recent Festival of Motoring.
This medium-size battery-electric sport-utility vehicle, which is Suzuki’s first BEV in that segment, was launched in the UK during the autumn of last year. The rally, now in its fifth year, is organised by GREENFLEET.

For the event, the e Vitara will be decorated with a special wrap and will be driven by the Lloyds Banking Group ‘Women in Transport’ team, along with other colleagues, as part of a convoy travelling across the United Kingdom between until September 11. The rally started in Exeter and finishes at a Lloyds Transport Expo event held at Twickenham Stadium, which will also be hosting the ‘Everything Electric’ show.
This year’s rally has adopted ‘mythbusting’ as its central theme, continuing the five-day format to showcase and reinforce the practicality of electric vehicles. Organisers plan to address lingering uncertainty and scepticism around EV technology by conducting live, real-world demonstrations, while also highlighting advances in charging infrastructure and clean energy.
Nick Williams, managing director for transport at Lloyds Banking Group, said the rally offers a valuable platform to demonstrate what electric vehicles can achieve. He expressed pride that the Women in Transport team would be at the wheel of the e Vitara, helping to show that switching to electric power is a realistic choice for drivers across the UK.
The e Vitara is offered with either a 49 kWh or 61 kWh battery pack, and is available in two-wheel drive or with Suzuki’s optional ALLGRIP four-wheel-drive system. Standard equipment across the range is comprehensive.

The 49 kWh Motion grade includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, smartphone connectivity, keyless entry and start, a heat pump, dual sensor brake support, lane departure prevention, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, as well as navigation and an integrated display system.
The 61 kWh Motion grade adds heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, while the Ultra grade provides an even higher level of specification.
Currently the eVitara is not being considered for our local market.
